Promenade Boulevard

LOCATION:  Rogers, Arkansas

Explosive retail and commercial growth in southwest Rogers created new challenges for the City’s traffic management.  The developers of the Pinnacle Promenade and the Mercy Medical Center retained the services of Crafton Tull to provide surveying, design, and construction management for new arterial and collector streets to serve the area.  Promenade Boulevard was the name chosen for the perimeter street providing access to and from the planned I-540 interchange. Dual left and right turn lanes were designed for the major streets and commercial entrances with decorative traffic signals and street lights included throughout.  The design also incorporated a five-foot wide sidewalk along each side of the boulevard and a storm sewer system designed to accommodate the runoff from a 10-year storm event.  Installation and coordination of numerous utility franchise companies was also a necessary requirement of the design.
