Chenal Elementary

LOCATION:  Little Rock, Arkansas

To accommodate the growing population in the area, the school district needed a new elementary school. Crafton Tull performed survey and engineering services for this 78,000 square foot K-5 public school. To expedite the construction, the site work and utilities were issued in an early construction package, followed by a building and utilities package. Significant design considerations included a 4,000 square foot sanitary main and public half-street improvements to approximately 900 feet of Denny Road. Grading and site disturbance was limited in order to protect the wooded site and retaining walls were incorporated to preserve existing trees along Denny Road.
