PROJECTS
Lakeside Campus Improvements
Lakeside School District in Hot Springs, Arkansas, experienced rapid enrollment growth, and, as a result, its facilities were operating at capacity. District leaders identified $40 million in needed construction projects and proposed a 4.0 millage increase, which voters approved in May 2018.
The district hired our team to provide civil engineering and surveying for the millage projects, including an artificial turf practice field with lights, a new junior high school, a new performing arts center, two cafeteria expansions, and artificial turf play areas with inclusive play structures.
Our team skillfully incorporated the new facilities into the already space-limited campus. High building density, a complex underground utility network, steep slopes, and a total off-site watershed of 42 acres draining onto the property required innovative solutions.
Today, Lakeside students, faculty, and staff enjoy the enhanced learning environment and added safety provided by these projects. Garland County voters trusted Lakeside School District to deliver on its promise of a smart, responsible investment in the community’s children and future. Throughout the design and construction process, our team played a critical role in helping the district deliver on that promise.
