Tulsa Technology Center - Health Sciences

In 2005, Crafton Tull led the Tulsa Technology Center Board of Education through a campus development planning process to redefine facility needs for the Lemley Campus, one of four centers in the TTC system. The new Health Sciences Building serves all health education programs in an evolving, 21st century health and education delivery system.

We translated data from the Program of Requirements, developed by the District, into space needs. Our team also helped define requirements for functional adjacencies, program growth implications, and need for high degrees of public access.  Tulsa Technology Center’s Health Sciences Center includes specialized teaching labs for the healthcare profession including classrooms, meeting rooms, library, student lounge, and administrative offices.

The interior design concept accentuates the primary exterior architectural elements from the gentle curve of the east facing facade to the arc of the clear story entry lobby element. These elements were carried into the interiors to create a seamless design transition. The facility closely resembles an actual healthcare environment and incorporates high quality interior finishes with a design scheme emphasizing a warm color palette with accents of the district’s crimson logo color at focal points.
