NWACC - National Child Protection Training Center
The National Child Protection Training Center is the remodel of a former oncology/radiation treatment clinic into a training center for law enforcement, legal professionals, social workers, and others who handle cases of child abuse. The program is a collaboration with the Northwest Arkansas Community College, and the building provides general classroom space for the college. The National Child Protection Training Center is a national program divided into four regions. Built first, the Southern Regional Center serves the entire Southern US region. The project included classrooms, office space, and specialized training spaces that simulate courtrooms, victim interview rooms, and a mock house for case re-creations.
