Clinton Intermediate Elementary
This project consists of a 62,000 square foot Elementary addition to the existing 29,500 square foot Intermediate School in the Clinton School District. The addition is a replacement for classrooms which were at the end of their useful life and presented many circulation and security issues for the District. The addition provides new classrooms and support areas for the K-3 students and shares new administrative offices, media center, computer lab, student dining facilities and safe room with the Intermediate students. The new classrooms afford students access to cable television, a computer network, and an intercom system. Additional cost-saving design measures include the use of natural light in all classrooms and motion detectors linked to the lighting system to help cut utility expenses while also providing security. The overall result is an exciting new facility that minimizes expenses while helping to maximize student potential. Many sustainable design features were incorporated throughout the project, including heat reflective roofing and paving, water conserving plumbing features, energy efficient HVAC and electrical systems and low VOC content products. This project was a cross-office collaboration between the Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Rogers, and Russellville Offices.
