PROJECTS
SE 29th Street Widening + Sidewalk Improvements
Crafton Tull provided surveying, engineering design, traffic signal design, drainage design, 12" waterline utility relocation, and construction administration for the SE 29th Corridor from Midwest Blvd. to Douglass Blvd. in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The project included widening the existing 4-lane road to a 5-lane with a center turn lane, a 10-foot wide sidewalk section, a 5-foot sidewalk section, a box culvert extension, drainage inlet modifications, and traffic signal upgrades.
The project allowed for the existing traffic turning into businesses located adjacent to SE 29th to safely maneuver across lanes by using the newly constructed turn lane. The new drainage modifications also allowed for more efficient drainage (and thus) safe driving conditions during storms. The sidewalk / trail provides pedestrian traffic to access the north side of the road’s businesses and connects to the existing sidewalk, adding connectivity to the adjacent streets. The upgraded signal lights provide safe pedestrian traffic movements during peak travel times.
