Crafton Tull Names Daniel Ellis Chief Operating Officer

COPIED

Crafton Tull, a regional engineering, surveying, planning and design firm, announced today that Daniel Ellis has been promoted from Senior Vice President to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Matt Crafton will remain President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In his new role as COO, Ellis will focus on internal operations, working directly with each segment of the firm’s professional services business across 11 office locations to ensure operational efficiency and quality.

Ellis, a Bella Vista resident, began his career with Crafton Tull in 2000 after graduating from Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. As a licensed professional engineer, he has managed several high-profile regional developments, including Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas, the Walmart AMP and the Northwest Park renovation in Rogers.

“Having spent his entire career at Crafton Tull, Daniel has consistently demonstrated extraordinary commitment to our team and the clients we serve,” said Crafton Tull President and CEO Matt Crafton. “I know Daniel’s dedication and leadership will greatly benefit our firm in this new role, and I’m proud to work alongside him.”

The promotion comes as Crafton Tull continues an era of strong momentum, achieving an average annual revenue growth of 16% since 2021, driven in part by strategic acquisitions and geographic expansion. Ellis’ promotion to COO and a broader internal reorganization emerged as key outcomes of a strategic planning process the firm launched earlier this year to support its expansion.

“I am honored by the confidence Matt and our leadership team have placed in me. Crafton Tull has been my professional home for over two decades, and I'm excited to continue working with our talented employee-owners to build on our company's recent growth.”
